After years inside global audit firms and high-growth finance teams, one truth became impossible to ignore. Month-end close was a marathon of manual reconciliations, version chaos, and sleepless nights. Every quarter felt like starting from scratch.
Automation alone was not enough. Finance needed a system that understood accounting logic.
Between March and August 2025, we began experimenting with AI-driven finance agents, not to replace accountants, but to reimagine how finance could work. Through hundreds of trials and prototypes, one insight stood out: a real system has to reason, explain, and adapt like a true digital controller.
We were not chasing features. We were rebuilding trust in numbers.
With a deep foundation in accounting and a shared frustration for broken workflows, we started building CLOE, one line of logic, one process at a time. The goal was simple yet ambitious: a finance engine that closes the books the way accountants think. Precise, explainable, always audit-ready.
